Evil Microsoft

A lot of people say that Microsoft is evil...

I partly believe this but some part of me also says that if Microsoft wasn't there then there might have been some other company who would have been branded as evil. A lot of big companies that are associated to computer industry (that I can think of) have pretty much the same philosophy as Microsoft. Some companies are Sun, Apple, Intel and IBM. Each of these company is a pretty big financial entity and collectively they represent trillions of dollars worth of assets.

In the end Microsoft is only doing what anyone in it's position would have done. Make more money!

I still think its a rip-off company but in the end it's my choice to buy their stuff or look for alternatives.

As an alternate thought, what do you think about people like Beckham or Rooney or any other big footie player. Should they play for free and provide us entertainment and good sports and live on charity? Maybe Rooney or Beckham are also evil?

Open Source Software

I have recently started taking more interest in open source software (or software which is free without any restrictions). My interest in this kind of stuff is very old but the present financial crisis warrants this topic to be looked very closely.

I believe that open source is the way forward but like the old saying goes, nothing good is free in this life! Software is one of the most expensive commodity for some people/businesses so getting good software for free may sound like too good to be true.

I will keep blogging about the goods and bads of this free stuff and also take some time to share my experience with free stuff.

Long Break

So I disappeared for a long time but hey it was for a good reason. Anyway, I am back now with loads of new stuff in my head so stay tuned!
